For Family and Friends

To put money on the inmate's account there are two options:

  1. Visit www.inmatesales.com
  2. Deposit money or credit/debit card in blue kiosk located in the Sheriff's Office lobby.

To put money on the inmate's commissary account there are two options:

  1. Visit www.jailatm.com
  2. Deposit money or credit/debit card in brow kiosk located in the Sheriff's Office lobby.

To setup video visits there are two options:

  1. Visit www.inmatesales.com
  2. Setup an account on the kiosks in the visitation booths located at the Sheriff's Office lobby.



Phone Calls

Once an inmate has been booked into the Security Center, he/she will be allowed to make the necessary phone calls to arrange his/her release.


Phone System

The Jail Phone System is contracted through Combined Public Communications (CPC). If you wish to make a deposit to an Inmate’s phone account you have 2 options.

Direct Pay: When you add money to a specific telephone number. This allows the inmate to call only that one number money has been added to.

PIN Debit: When you add money to the inmate’s PIN number. (In the Kiosk you will look the inmate up by their name, you do not need their PIN number). This allows the inmate to call ANY number he/she may want to call.

The Jail Video Visitation System is contracted through Combined Public Communications (CPC). If you wish to schedule a Video Visit from home or at the Jail you will need to follow the instructions below:

Programs

The Warrick County Security Center provides several programs for inmates. One such program is the General Education Development Course (G.E.D.), which allows an inmate to obtain his/her high school diploma. The inmates are also given the opportunity to attend a faith based program that focuses on addiction as well as a church service one night a week.


Treatment and Counseling

Inmates who have been sexually assaulted or abused will be offered counseling and treatment. This counseling will be provided by qualified personnel that are trained to provide counseling to victims of sexual assault. Counseling is confidential.


ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR SEX OFFENSES


PREA- Prison Rape Elimination Act of 2003

The Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) is a federal law that prohibits and seeks to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual misconduct in correctional institutions and community corrections settings. The Warrick County Security Center is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for staff and inmates.

  • The Warrick County Security Center has zero-tolerance for sexual assault or abuse of any person or sexual relationships between staff and inmates.
  • Sexual misconduct includes sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual harassment and consensual acts.
  • Employees, contract staff, volunteers and vendors who engage in sexual contact or sexual misconduct with inmates will be referred for criminal prosecution when applicable.
How to Report Institutional Sexual Assault and/or Staff Sexual Misconduct
If you have information regarding a Warrick County Security Center Inmate who has been sexually assaulted while in custody, you can report directly to the Corrections Investigator at (812) 897-6180. It is critical that you provide as many details as possible. This includes:
  • The name(s) and locations of persons involved
  • The name(s) or description of any witnesses to the incident
  • Booking number (if an Inmate)
  • A brief description of the incident(s)
  • A brief description of where the event(s) occurred
  • The date(s), time, and place of occurrence(s)
  • Names and contact information of others who might have additional information about the incident
  • Your contact phone number and address
The Warrick County Security Center investigates all allegations of inmate–on–inmate sexual assaults and staff sexual misconduct. The Sheriff's Office will discipline and, when appropriate, refer for prosecution individuals determined to be perpetrators of such conduct.


Reporting Information for Inmates
Inmates incarcerated in our facility are urged to report allegations of rape, sexual contact or staff sexual misconduct.
The Warrick County Sheriff's Office and Jail maintain a zero tolerance policy for all forms of inappropriate sexual conduct whether involving inmates or inmates and staff members.

Any inmate or staff member that violates the above will face jail administrative sanctions for rule violations, personal sanctions and where appropriate, criminal prosecution.

Merit Board

The Sheriff's Merit Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Sheriff's Office.

This meeting is open to the public.
